Every figure on this page is computed from the inputs you enter, by the method stated below it. The only constants DoorsetBook supplies are the published check frequencies and the storey height they apply from, cited where used. The defaults are a worked example to replace with your own.

A fire door installation certificate records that a specific doorset was installed at a specific opening in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the certification the door carries: the door's identification and rating, the frame, the seals, the ironmongery and the closer as fitted, the gaps as measured, the installer's competence and signature, and the date. It is the first entry in the door's record and the one the fire authority asks for after a fire. The fire door installation record on this site produces the certificate, free; DoorsetBook Pro keeps it against the door.

What the certificate identifies

The doorset by its label and certification, the fire and smoke rating, the frame and its fixing, the seals, the hinges, the closer, the glazing and the signage, each as fitted. The installer's name, competence and signature, and the date.

The measurements

The gaps at the head, the sides and the threshold, recorded as installed, so the first inspection has a baseline. The installation record on this site takes them and prints the certificate.

Why it is the first entry in the register

The quarterly and annual checks compare the door against what it was; without the certificate they compare it against nothing. Pro keeps the certificate as the door's first record.

The software

From the vendor's own pricing page, IgnisTrack is £49 per user per month, £45 per user for two to four users and £40 for five to nine; DoorsetBook Pro is £49 per month for the whole building portfolio, and every tool on this site computes free with no account.
